Some Fake Phone Call Scams

Recently there's quite a number of fake phone call scams around to try accumulate personal particulars and build a database to sell in the market. The market here refers to those who may be in the self-employed industries or some outsource telemarketeers, needing a pool of clientèle base to promote their products and services. Or to become worse, they can use the Database to do other things online which is too wide to be thought of.

Below is a true story of my friend's wife experience. The victim is her colleague working in the same company.

My friend's wife works in the bank. Just about 2 weeks ago, her colleague received a call out of nowhere through an office phone. The caller called to inform the colleague (the victim) that

"This is calling from the subordinate court and is calling to suspect that you are involved with a serious accidental case, but to double confirm that you are the person involving the case, give me your Name and Identity Number"

The way they ask is a kind of technique they use to ask for particulars such that they dun ask, but instead they request or order to provide them with the details accordingly.

It is also psychology kind of scenario which involves you to a serious case and such that you might be afraid and try "not get involved" so they can get the particulars easily to verify the person.

Everything in the plot seems quite perfect until the caller only speaks in Chinese...

Should the caller speaks in fluent English, the plot will be quite successful and hard to differentiate if its genuine.

The victim just simply gave out the particulars to the caller without verifying and the caller just said, "Ok, we've got the wrong person" and they just hanged up.

My friend's wife overheard the conversation halfway when she noticed her colleague was giving her personal particulars and tried to stop her colleague from giving, but it was just too late. After a while of getting hold of what's going on the phone call, my friend's wife suggested to make a police report about this.

So when the victim made a police report, to her surprise, she was the 6th victim to have made the report for similar case recently.

This seems to be the latest call trap.

My friend's wife and victim then find out more details of the different persons who encounter similar scenarios. The caller uses similar technique as mentioned above to other people.

Some are smart enough to respond that she don't understand chinese and ask if they can speak English. The caller will say they can't hear you properly as an excuse for several times after which you may have repeatedly requested them to speak English, they'll hanged up the call immediately.

Some asked for the caller's supervisor name who is in charge to verify if the call is genuine, the caller will also immediately hanged up.

As for now they only ask for Name and Identity Number, and which Identity Number basically cant do much for now unless they go borrow money from Loan Shark.

But as technology advances, who knows the Identity Number may be of useful in the future to do more convenient transactions?

Personal Particulars are meant to be kept as Personal, Private and Confidential. Should anyone calls for your particulars, do verify again and again. Just be extra Careful and make an effort to verify before giving away Personal Particulars.

Bad Month for me??

This September 2007, is an unlucky month for me. On the 2nd week of September, my TV spoilt. Switching on TV, only has sound but no image. So need to go electronics shop to purchase a new TV.

Well anyway, this old TV of mine has already been use since 1996 until now, its an 29" CRT color TV and has repaired once before due to frequently using it for playing TV console games such as Playstation and Sega Saturn.

Now my new model is 26" widescreen HD ready LCD TV with PC connectivity device. This cost half of my salary gone.

A week later, on the 3rd week, my PC LCD monitor spoilt. Switching on the monitor, the screen flickering different colors without even turning on my PC yet. Once my PC was turned on, my monitor flickers to adjust the image as normal for a few seconds. Then suddenly, when goes into the window screen, the colors or contrasts turns out to be very bright!! However how hard I've tried to tune with the contrast and brightness, the brightness of the monitor was still there!

There's also some sizzling sound from my monitor power plug too! At this moment, I knew my monitor was gone.

Well this monitor has been used since 2004 bought from a PC show. It was a 15" LCD monitor only and nothing much to describe it, haha...

Now my new model is 19" LCD, 5000:1 contrast with DVI monitor. This monitor is way a lot more bigger than my old 15" LCD monitor, as the images and videos that I've viewed, are so much bigger and larger than viewing from my old LCD monitor!!! This cost another 1/8 of my salary gone.

So now I dunno if I should be delighted on my new monitors or I should be sad with some holes in my pockets... For one thing, now I've to budget myself a bit to pull my life back to normal till next month...

IT Issue: Upgrade from Boyfriend to Husband

Dear IT Support,

Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 and noticed a
slow down in the overall performance, particularly in the flower, gifts and
jewellery applications that had operated flawlessly under Boyfriend
5.0.

In addition, Husband 1.0 un-installed many other valuable programs,
such as Romance 9.5 and Personal Attention 6.5, but installed undesirable
programs such as Formula One 5.0, NBA 3.0 and World Cup 2.0.

And now Conversation 8.0 no longer runs and House Cleaning 2.6 simply
crashes the system. I've tried running Nagging 5.3 to fix these
problems, but to no avail.

What can I do?

Signed,
Desperate Housewife

Reply:
Dear Desperate Housewife,

First keep in mind:
Boyfriend 5.0 is an entertainment package, while Husband 1.0 is an
operating system.

Try entering the command C:\ I THOUGHT YOU LOVED ME and download
Tears 6.2 to install Guilt 3.0.

If all works as designed, Husband 1.0 should then automatically run the
applications Jewellery 2.0 and Flowers 3.5.

But remember, overuse can cause Husband 1.0 to default to Grumpy
Silence 2.5, Happy Hour 7.0 or Late Night Teh Tarik 6.1.

Late Night 6.1 is a very bad program that will create SnoringLoudly.wav
files.

Whatever you do, DO NOT install Mother-in-Law 1.0 or reinstall another
Boyfriend program. These are not supported applications and will crash
Husband 1.0.

In summary, Husband 1.0 is a great program, but it does have a limited
memory and cannot learn new application so quickly.

You might consider additional software to improve memory and
performance. I personally recommend Hot Tasty Food 3.0 and Tongkat Ali 6.9.

Good Luck,
IT Support

CS Chapter 3: Listening

Whew! After a long break of vacation trip and busy handling work, I finally had some time to
get back to my blog, haha...

As discuss from previous chapters, its time for new Topics: Good listener.

Ever thought of how good a listener can you be before? Its very easy to be a listener but just how good can you be?

As posted previously, communications is a Half-Duplex kind of system in order to send and receive a full 100% of messages through to each other.

But when people gets excited on certain topics discussed or eager to argue over certain matters and issues, What happens? In such a scenario, people tends to interrupt the conversations and talk as much as they can before they forgets. In this way, how well do you think each party can receive the messages?

There's also a scenario whereby when the topics becoming dull and boring, or when there are other things in each mind that's distracting and bothering them, can these people receive a full 100% messages?

These are the barriers to communications and classified into 2 categories:

Internal - Mental Flights, Selective Listening and Jump to Conclusions

External - Presenter's Delivery and External Environment

Its very natural for any living things on earth to possess these barriers to communications as an indication of whether they are interested in the topics discussed or not.

But when we do a proper communication, do we always 100% stay focus and listen till the end of the other party's speech before we start talking? If you do, congrats! You'll be a calm, good listener and an analyser of any situation, which perhaps you have the ability to becoming a great leader!

There are 3 types of listening habits, in which everyone of us can possess all these 3 types of habits depending on different situations.

Passive Listening: Usual responses are "Uh huh", "yes", "good", "right", "hmmm", "ok", "yeah", nodding head, eye contact etc.

Active Listening: Usual responses would be echoing, repeat, clarify, paraphrase and asking questions. Such reaction will let people know you are attentive to the person's conversation, but do not do such responses when someone talks halfway through and you interrupt to repeat the paraphrases. It'll might be reflected as rude and irritating.

Reflective Listening: Usual reponses are to summarise what one has talked and gives some feedbacks.

People can FEEL your emotions even by just talking over the phone or in cyber chatting when the above 3 types of listening habits are used!!

Its very simple to master the listening skills where all you need to do is to be patient and be attentive! Such a habit can let you understand the conversations well and be able to analyse situations more clearly and precisely!

Next it'll be the 4As to deal with any Customers you have faced.

Note: All the Chapters discussed are in theory basis, there's no straight right or wrong answers, its just a set of guidelines to handle anything properly. The theory reacts differently to different situations and depending on how flexible each individual applies it. But if there's no starting to try and apply, there's no starting at all. Practise to make perfects!

Use Firefox Browser Perhaps!

It has come to my attention that viewers have some problem with viewing my Blog using Internet Explorer.

Indeed it has as the Internet Explorer has distorted the layout of my blog and viewers cannot see the columns on the right hand side of my blog page but rather it is loaded at the bottom of my blog...

Why not try using Firefox to browse instead. Apart that Firefox can properly align my blog, it has a lot of other advantages compared to Internet Explorer.

Users can customise and optimise the browser to

  • load page faster,
  • less vulnerable to virus attacks than Internet Explorer,
  • can be used as another alternatives to browse in case Internet Explorer's been attacked and blocked by virus.

"Internet Explorer lacked many convenience features often-requested but never delivered. And finally, Internet Explorer did not adhere completely to web standards; it pretty much set its own standards. In short Internet Explorer lacked competition. However all that has changed since Firefox became a legitimate challenger. Firefox has forced Microsoft to incorporate many much-needed security, convenience and customization features into the latest version of the world's most used Internet browser, Internet Explorer 7. All of this has been spurred on solely by Firefox's existence and growing popularity, so even if you're a dyed-in-the-wool Internet Explorer user, you have Firefox to thank for these improvements." - an abstract from Firefox Tweak.

Firefox Tweak has thought many users on how to configure the Firefox to its optimum usage.

CS Chapter 2: Difficult Customers and Services

In everyday lives of every ERA ages, everyone in the world will definitely have some bad experiences with all different kinds of difficult Customers and Services.

Why do we have such experiences in this world?

In ancient times, when people encounter difficult Customers, fights, conflicts and even wars will be the end product of Bad Services, even now, we can still see such things happening in the world. It's due to some terms and conditions that both parties do not agree upon and do not give ways bit by bit.

Times definitely have changed, so do people. People has studied people in terms of emotions, characteristics, behaviours, mentalities, believes etc. People has learnt and imparted some skills of handling difficult Customers and Services.

Strictly speaking, all the skills learnt will only be half effective or no effect at all if only one of the party learns to communicate while the other don't and seldom or never constantly put in use. Dealing with Customers and Services is about two-way communications, half duplex system. Just like communicating with your loved ones, if communications breakdown, what will happen?

Half Duplex System is a system whereby one send messages and the other receive messages one at a time. When one person talks, the other listens, then communication is successfully established and that the other person can receive 100% messages. If both were talking at the same time, who's listening? And how much do each of them receive each other's messages?

So back to today's Topic, What's a difficult Customer and Services?
A difficult Customer is one whose actions and behaviours intentionally causes difficulties to people around them and same for Customer Service Providers.

I'm sure most of you have some experience with difficult Customers and Services. Have you not been a difficult Customers yourselves too? Well, if you have, you'll be able to understanding more for those difficult Customers and probably you can handle them more easily if you were in their shoes before, isn't it? But 1st, one has to be calmed, in controlled mood to handle difficult situation.

I've purchased an item and to be delivered on a specific weekday as they were packed with delivery schedules. As I'm working on the weekday they delivering and my parents not around to receive the package, so I've to specially take a leave to stay at home waiting for the delivery. But when the day comes, the delivery did not come on the timeslots they'll be delivering. I've made a call to the service provider and they told me that the delivery was pushed back to few days later and I wasn't informed of the delayed delivery.

What do you think was my reaction? If you were in my situation, what will your reaction be?

After the reactions you may think of, think back. Is the service poor or can there be any improvements on my part? By being angry and fuming up anger to others, will not solve any problems, but will instead create more frustrations, miserables and anger within oneselves. Things done cannot be undone unlike typing words in computer, can undo. What's done is done, but be calmed and just think back for moments if things can be better to prevent such events to occur in the future.

There are ways to actually prevent such unhappy scenarios. One of which is the service provider should have sent a notice that the delivery will be late. And the other is I should have made a call a few days earlier just to confirm if the delivery was still on its schedule, it just don't take much time to make a call to confirm.

"It takes two hands to clap or handshaking."

I don't know about your encounters, but things can be better if you were to think back and be proactive to make sure such things will not happen in the future.

Even if things still happen in similar ways, think back and analyze what can be done better before venting out anger.

It's simple, but may not be easy to do, especially on emotional part.
1. Think Back.
2. Analyse situation.
3. Be proactive to confirm again and again.
4. Implement a system to prevent same event happen again.

It's all in the mind, it's of how one can control the mind.

"Don't let emotions control you, be a Master of controlling emotions instead"

There's no one-off solution of handling Difficult Customers and Services as everyone and every situations varies. Its always easier said than done, but without a start to do it, there'll be no start at all and things will not be changed. So let's start analyze and practice to learn handling Customers and Services right away to build a better world for ourselves and generations beyond!

Next, I'll share how to be a good listener.

Time Life Line

Ever wonder why people or living things has a lifespan? And why are everyone's Lifespan varies from one another?

Meaning some will live longer than the other, but let alone those accidental tragedies and diseases.

Have you all notice, pets, animals or insects have shorter lifespan than Humans? Also some Trees have longer lifespan than Humans?

I've wondered this for a long time, but just my thoughts.

What if Life's just like a Battery? Which can come in all different types of sizes and different charging capacities. For me, I always wondered if there's a fixed amount of time for everyone to live just like batteries.

Everyday, we wake up to start doing whatever things we like and do, each tasks will use a certain amount of energy which is similar logic to batteries whereby batteries are used to do certain task and work. Once we used up our energies, we'll go recharge to gain back energies by eating and resting, which is also just like batteries that will have a recharging source to charge back energies so that they can be reused again.

If batteries have a limited number of cycle for recharging, so do Humans and living things.

But number of charging cycles and energies used depends on the sizes of living things. For examples, insects and pets are of small type of batteries where their charging capacities are small will have short lifespan as compared to humans and trees.

But of course, there are some exceptions whereby the larger size of humans do not actually means they have a big capacities of charging as their lifespan may be short due to diseases.

It'll be more complicated if the diseases are to factored into the picture, but the main point I like to think is that:

How long is humans charging capacities and is there a fixed number of hours to live for everyone, but depends on the amount of charge they rest minus the amount of work they do?

Example: if a human can live up to maximum 1,000,000 hours (which is about 114 years old), but due to this human work more than he rest, there'll be discounts on the amount of living hours. On the other hand, if this human rest more than he work, he may probably live up to the maximum!

But that does not mean an extremely lazy person live the longest! You can try buy a pair of batteries and let it do nothing for just 3 year, won't your batteries lifespan be discount too?

If you notice, Insects work and rest quickly, so their lifespan also used up very fast!

So my thoughts here is that everyone or every single living thing, may have its fixed number of living hours but depends on sizes, work loads and rest time.

So Get some life and do things great for societies around you now!

Enjoy your Life!

CS Chapter 1: Customers

Yup most of you are smart enough to get it right for the last question I've asked! That's great!

Customers are everywhere! Customers are not someone who buy our products and use our services etc. Customers are someone or something to whom you are connected with your life! They can be your bosses, spouses, colleagues, parents, siblings, family members, relatives, pets, vehicles and even your own body!

It's so easy, isn't it to know who are your CUSTOMERS?

Some of you may quote - "What a crap!" or "So what? etc".

Yup, no doubt, its a "So what?" society we may live in. Imagine a world your own to not be able to communicate well with those someone or something above, will your life be more lonely, miserable, unhappy or even devastating? Well, I guess most of you can live well also without able to communicate with some of the people or things mentioned above.

However, if you are able to communicate just nice to each and everyone, wouldn't you be living in a world of happiness, less conflicts and a great sense of living alive?

"Come on, be realistic, don't be a dreamer, this is a real world, halo, you nuts?" Some of you may see this way.

But if everyone will do their best to make things better for someone or something around themselves, I'm sure this will become true and everyone will be able to live life happily.

Said is easier than done as we all are dealing mostly with people and each has their own individual characteristics and emotions. Which is why there's this "Psychology" exist in this world.

Next, I'll share what is a difficult customer.

Equations

Just for laughs!
Looks funny but somehow quite true in some sense, haha...

Human = eat + sleep + work + enjoy
Pigs = eat + sleep

Hence,

Human = Pigs + work + enjoy

Then If,

Human - enjoy = Pigs + work

In other words,
Human that don't know enjoy = pigs that work

=============================================

Now Let's say if
Men = eat + sleep + earn money
Pigs = eat + sleep

Hence,

Men = Pigs + earn money

Then If

Men - earn money = Pigs

In other words,
Men that don't earn money = Pigs

=============================================

Women = eat + sleep + spend
Pigs = eat + sleep

Hence,

Women = Pigs + spend

Then If,

Women - spend = Pigs

In other words,
Women that don't spend = Pigs

=============================================

Summary :

Men earn money not to let women become pigs!
Women spend not to let men become pigs!

Men + Women = 2 Pigs

Moral of the Story

A jobless man applied for the position of "office boy" at Microsoft. The HR manager interviewed him then watched him cleaning the floor as a Test.

"You are employed" he said. "Give me your e-mail Address and I'll send you the application to fill in, as well as the
date when you may start."

The man replied "But I don't have a computer, nor an email."
"I'm sorry", said the HR manager, "If you don't have an email, that means you do not exist. And who doesn't exist, cannot have the job."

The man left with no hope at all. He didn't know what to do, with only $10 in his pocket. He then decided to go to the supermarket and buy a 10 Kg tomato crate. He then sold the tomatoes in a door-to-door round. In less than two hours, he succeeded to double his capital. He repeated the operation three times, and returned home with $60. The man realized
that he can survive by this way, and started to go everyday earlier, and return late. Thus, his money doubled or tripled everyday.

Shortly, he bought a cart, then a truck, and then he had his own fleet of delivery vehicles. 5 years later, the man is one of the biggest food retailers in the
US . He started to plan his family's future, and decided to have a life insurance. He called an insurance broker, and chose a protection plan. When the conversation was concluded, the broker asked him his email.
The man replied, "I don't have an email."

The broker answered curiously, "You don't have an email, and yet have succeeded to build an empire. Can you imagine what you could have been if you had an email?!!"

The man thought for a while and replied, "Yes, I'd be an office boy at Microsoft!"

Moral of the story

1. Internet / email is not the solution to your life.
2. If you don't have Internet / email and Work hard, you can be a Millionaire.
3. If you received this Message by email, you are probably already an Office boy/girl, and not any close to being a
millionaire...
Have a great day!!!

Re-Introductory to CUSTOMER SERVICE

A Basic and Brief introduction to CUSTOMER SERVICE

In this blog, in order to know how we can "EnJoY ThE WaY YoU WaNt LiFe To Be!!", 1st we must look at ourselves and the people around us.

Why?

In this 21st Century and beyond, we are moving towards Informative ERA, moving into an ERA where meeting people is not really a must to do in business or social life for some group of people, including me, who are doing, eg. Online businesses, Investments, cyber cafe chatting, gaming etc.

Most of us know what is CUSTOMER SERVICE, so why do I still ask or talk about CUSTOMER SERVICE here?

"Can't we just skip this boring, useless knowledge aside and keep things move on as usual, just do whatever we have to do and move on?" or "What's so important about CUSTOMER SERVICE, as if I care?" or "Why do I give it a damn?!" - as some of you may quote.

Well, if we really want to "enjoy the way we want life to be", we still need to communicate regardless if we are communicating with bosses, colleagues, spouses, friends, family members, ourselves and even animals, so as to make our lifes better.

"But what has communicating got to do with CUSTOMER SERVICE? I still don't get it..." - perhaps some of you may wonder.

Let's just say, if you are unable to communicate well with your bosses or colleagues, will you get things done SMOOTHLY? If you are unable to communicate with your spouse or family members well, are you INVITING more conflicts and disorders unneccessarily? If you are unable to communicate with your pets well, will they give you some BITES or SCRATCHES when you don't provide them enough or be nasty to them? If YOU, yourself, unable to communicate with yourself, ignoring or unaware of your body conditions and still keep eating your favourite food non-stop for few days or weeks, will your stomach not UPSET as time goes on?

So how well or how good do you provide your CUSTOMER SERVICE to the people mentioned above?

And next question, Ah... This is one of my favourite questions, do we really know who are our "CUSTOMERS"?

"CUSTOMERS" in this blog mentioned does not mean the people who buys your product or the people to whom you wanted to sell your products.

I leave it to you to think through and answers will be brought to light in next Chapter.

What everyone should know about Cancer

CANCER UPDATE FROM JOHNS HOPKINS HOSPITAL , US - PLEASE READ

1. Every person has cancer cells in the body. These cancer cells do not show up in the standard tests until they have multiplied to a few billion. When doctors tell cancer patients that there are no more cancer cells in their bodies after treatment, it just means the tests are unable to detect the cancer cells because they have not reached the detectable size.

2. Cancer cells occur between 6 to more than 10 times in a person's lifetime.

3. When the person's immune system is strong the cancer cells will be destroyed and prevented from multiplying and forming tumors.

4. When a person has cancer it indicates the person has multiple nutritional deficiencies. These could be due to genetic, environmental, food and lifestyle factors.

5. To overcome the multiple nutritional deficiencies, changing diet and including supplements will strengthen the immune system.

6. Chemotherapy involves poisoning the rapidly-growing cancer cells and also destroys rapidly-growing healthy cells in the bone marrow, gastro-intestinal tract etc, and can cause organ damage, like liver, kidneys, heart, lungs etc.

7. Radiation, while destroying cancer cells, also burns, scars and damages healthy cells, tissues and organs.

8. Initial treatment with chemotherapy and radiation will often reduce tumor size. However prolonged use of chemotherapy and radiation do not result in more tumor destruction.

9. When the body has too much toxic burden from chemotherapy and radiation the immune system is either compromised or destroyed, hence the person can succumb to various kinds of infections and complications.

10. Chemotherapy and radiation can cause cancer cells to mutate and become resistant and difficult to destroy. Surgery can also cause cancer cells to spread to other sites.

11. An effective way to battle cancer is to starve the cancer cells by not feeding it with the foods it needs to multiply. See below.

CANCER CELLS FEED ON:

a. Sugar is a cancer-feeder.

By cutting off sugar it cuts off one important food supply to the cancer cells. Sugar substitutes like NutraSweet, Equal, Spoonful, etc are made with Aspartame and it is harmful. A better natural substitute would be Manuka honey or molasses but only in very small amounts. Table salt has a chemical added to make it white in colour. Better alternative is Bragg's aminos or sea salt.

b. Milk causes the body to produce mucus, especially in the gastro-intestinal tract. Cancer feeds on mucus. By cutting off milk and substituting with unsweetened soya milk cancer cells are being starved.

c. Cancer cells thrive in an acid environment.

A meat-based diet is acidic and it is best to eat fish, and a little chicken rather than beef or pork.
Meat also contains livestock antibiotics, growth hormones and parasites, which are all harmful, especially to people with cancer.

d. A diet made of 80% fresh vegetables and juice, whole grains, seeds, nuts and a little fruits help put the body into an alkaline environment. About 20% can be from cooked food including beans. Fresh vegetable juices provide live enzymes that are easily absorbed and reach down to cellular levels within 15 minutes to nourish and enhance growth of healthy cells. To obtain live enzymes for building healthy cells try and drink fresh vegetable
juice (most vegetables including bean sprouts) and eat some raw vegetables 2 or 3 times a day. Enzymes are destroyed at temperatures of 104 degrees F (40 degrees C).

e. Avoid coffee, tea, and chocolate, which have high caffeine. Green tea is a better alternative and has cancer-fighting properties. Water-best to drink purified water, or filtered, to avoid known toxins and heavy metals in tap water. Distilled water is acidic, avoid it.

12. Meat protein is difficult to digest and requires a lot of digestive enzymes. Undigested meat remaining in the intestines become putrefied and leads to more toxic buildup.

13. Cancer cell walls have a tough protein covering. By refraining from or eating less meat it frees more enzymes to attack the protein walls of cancer cells and allows the body's killer cells to destroy the cancer cells.

14. Some supplements build up the immune system (IP6, Flor-ssence, Essiac, anti-oxidants, vitamins, minerals, EFAs etc.) to enable the body's own killer cells to destroy cancer cells. Other supplements, like vitamin E, are known to cause apoptosis, or programmed cell death, the body's normal method of disposing of damaged, unwanted, or unneeded cells.

15. Cancer is a disease of the mind, body, and spirit. A proactive and positive spirit will help the cancer warrior be a survivor. Anger, unforgiveness and bitterness put the body into a stressful and acidic environment. Learn to have a loving and forgiving spirit. Learn to relax and enjoy life.

16. Cancer cells cannot thrive in an oxygenated environment. Exercising daily, and deep breathing help to get more oxygen down to the cellular level. Oxygen therapy is another means employed to destroy cancer cells..

PLEASE READ
1. No plastic containers in micro.
2. No water bottles in freezer.
3. No plastic wrap in microwave.

Johns Hopkins has recently sent this out in its newsletters. This information is being circulated at Walter Reed Army Medical Center as well.

Dioxin chemicals cause cancer, especially breast cancer. Dioxins are highly poisonous to the cells of our bodies. Don't freeze your plastic bottles with water in them as this releases dioxins from the plastic.

Recently, Dr. Edward Fujimoto, Wellness Program Manager at Castle Hospital, was on a TV program to explain this health hazard. He talked about dioxins and how bad they are for us. He said that we should not be heating our food in the microwave using plastic containers. This especially applies to foods that contain fat. He said that the combination of fat, high heat, and
plastics releases dioxin into the food and ultimately into the cells of the body. Instead, he recommends using glass, such as Corning Ware, Pyrex or ceramic containers for heating food. You get the same results, only without the dioxin. So such things as TV dinners, instant ramen and soups, etc., should be removed from the container and heated in something else.

Paper isn't bad but you don't know what is in the paper. It's just safer to use tempered glass, Corning Ware, etc. He reminded us that a while ago some of the fast food restaurants moved away from the foam containers to paper.

The dioxin problem is one of the reasons. Also, he pointed out that plastic wrap, such as Saran, is just as dangerous when placed over foods to be cooked in the microwave. As the food
is nuked, the high heat causes poisonous toxins to actually melt out of the plastic wrap and drip into the food. Cover food with a paper towel instead.

Under Construction for Upgrading Stage!

Ta da! Thanks to my friend, I'm able to link up some of the sites that I like to make it just like a real domain.

Of course many part of it is still under construction, but the sites are still accessible. I'll do my best to put all sites up.

Arrow and Heart Origami

Its another day of the week! And today its my OFF day!!

Nothing much to do at home so I'm searching online to see if there's any interesting thing I can learn and do. I'm interested to know how a piece of used paper can be recycled and transformed into some decorations. Where some of you may know that I like to do some Origami stuffs and there it is!

This is an Arrow and Heart Origami! Made from one piece of paper. Any piece of rectangle paper where length must be at least > 2 times of width, there you can fold to this standard.

Anyone interested in learning to fold, let me know, I can guide you how to fold. Or does anyone like to make an offer to buy the Heart and made with paper you like? Haha...

What A Screwed up Day!!!

Its another day of daily routine job again, but today on 10th July 2007 is a so-called ‘special’ day...

Working in G*** Company is not as easy as anyone thinks, some people may view working there just like almost do nothing, give commands/orders, sit back and drink coffee to relax kind of job. Nope, absolutely not!

Our Organisation may seem just as delicious as it looks on the outside, just like a Hamburger. But We are just a piece of something in the middle of a Hamburger, let you guess which part of the middle of the Hamburger we are later at the bottom after you go through the situation below and I’m quite sure some of you experiences similar situation.

We as Engineers handle customers (those upstairs) more than we handling system and machines… We had a hard time to deal with them…

Due to upcoming event, everyone from the upstairs seems to be over excited and planned this and that, giving us all the work to do. Its normal to have work to do, of course, we have no complaints as it’s a routine to do all the necessary work.

The upstairs happily scheduled roaster for us to standby during the weekends, we are still ok up to this stage since its part and parcel of our job to standby when necessary, BUT the upstairs sent email to all parties who are involved for the event EXCEPT us!!

The 1st thing in our mind, are we supposed to standby during the weekends since we did not receive the email order. You may wonder how we know we need to standby at later stage. We are informed and forwarded by our neighbour that we had this standby. If you may think this is still ok, it’s alright, we actually can accept it too since (upstairs) have scheduled us for the work.

BUT the upstairs have all sorts of different requirements and details fly here and there while we are left outside of the loop without knowing what actually was going on. We were then at almost last minute stage, be informed by the upstairs of the requirements they want and they demand us to react according to their decisions without taking due diligent on the end user side for their usage concerns. We as ENGINEERS have stated out the end user concerns and the impact the users going to face when the upstairs executed their decisions. BUT the upstairs still will not give a damn concern on the end users and our Professional advise (as we know the system inside out) and still want to execute their actions.

Sometimes I wonder, why they hire professionals such as us, the ENGINEERS, to manage the system as the upstairs, so-called CONSULTANTS, decide on things they know less than us such as limitations on the system, didn’t trust our professional advices and still go on ahead to proceed executing the things they want!

They want to see the things they want cannot work by their own eyes rather than trusting our Professional advices and make every single party involving in the event, a very Hard time and inconvenience until they are happy to see the things don’t work…

And usually every year before the actual event, we’ll be requested to go to site for testing to ensure all systems functions properly and ready to operate when the actual event arrives. In this way, we can save lots of troubles and problems which may arise and be prepared if there’s any screwed ups.

But this year, we were not informed to do any testing on site… See Below…

We as Engineers, forgot to say, we also are CONTRACTORS have not much say to overwrite their decisions, so we execute their decisions. What’s more, their decisions was so last minute till we had to inform the end users of the impact even when its around 2am in the dawn!! What the hell!!!!

What do we get after we executed the upstairs decisions? Shits!! PROBLEMS and COMPLAINTS from end users everywhere!! Phones ringing throughout the day!!

So what happen in the end?? Upstairs still deciding if want to revert everything back to normal places so that the whole thing can be done smoothly.

What a screwed ups and a bunch of low EQ and IQ idiots (upstairs)!!

Do they know how to communicate (EQ) well with people?? Someone or somebody got to teach them some manners and attitudes and not using their high posts to abuse their powers to overwrite things they like and want… Every game has its rules and regulations, please play them right and in order, not a MESS.

CUSTOMERS COME FIRST BUT CUSTOMERS NOT ALWAYS RIGHT!

THEY ARE RIGHT ONLY WHEN THEY ARE REASONABLE ENOUGH!!

So which part of the middle of the Hamburger are we??

Are we the meat?? Nope, we are not as delicious as the meat because WE (the persons) are not the main role of the Organisation although OUR SYSTEM is.

Are we the cheese?? Nope, we are not as delicious as cheese too because we are not as worthy as the upstairs think we are. To them, we are just high paid Bangladesh doing ‘easy jobs’ while they do not know the whole lot of things not a normal person can handle.

Then what are we??

We are the VEGETABLES!! Almost less tasty than meat and cheese!! Maybe no taste at all!! But why we are vegetables??

Because we take all the shits the upstairs want to do and do it for them. We also take all the shits from the end users for the complaints they experience. What do Vegetables good at??

YUP, That’s right!! Vegetables produce fibers to process ALL THE SHITS!! Else if the vegetable not functioning properly, you know what happens… Only Inputs and no Outputs…

What an Idiotic day, thanks to all those Upstairs!!

Virus!!! Stay Out of my PC!!!

Long time no install of anti-virus program and when installed and start scanning for viruses, there it scanned out 300+ Threats!!!!!

WOW!!!!!!! What a shock! And after healing the threats, almost all of my programs were unable to execute! Double Shock!

Wow! Didn't realise the threat was so powerful which cause all my exe file to be unexecutable!!!

This must be some sort of worm which will eat up all the .exe files then corrupts them...

I've no choice but to reformat my system drive to ensure there's no further threats happening again!!

What an experience of a lifetime to find so many threats in PC. Serves me right for not scanning it earlier and install the anti-virus software to heal all threats!

Whew!!!!

Thanks to this guide:
http://web.mit.edu/ist/products/winxp/advanced/reinstall-format.html

I'm able to format just the right partition without backing up all my files on my other partitioned drive else I'll be having headache backing up all files as there are just too many files to back up!!

I've finally get my PC running again and of course I've restored all the necessary tools to play videos, audios, flash etc etc...

Movies!

With the advancement of Technologies, almost all movies are moving into CGs Era. And thanks to CGs, we as viewers enjoy the graphical effects especially in Sci-fi Movies such as Spiderman, Superman, X-Men, Fantastic Four, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter etc and of cos animations such as Shrek, Surfs Up are too some of the good movies.

Indeed Good Graphical Designs and CGs are more or less an important element to attract viewers at 1st impression, but what about the story line?

Does the movie maker more focus in building CGs or more story lines?

CosFormers!

Hey!

With the hot upcoming movie Transformer, have a "Preview" on this!
